Thursday Nights are great evenings to spend at the Alabama Theatre! This week, our final film of the 2012 Thursday Club Cinema Film Series:
The Limey (1999, Steven Soderbergh)
Jefferson Credit Union presents Thursday Club Cinema at the Alabama Theatre, a film series produced by Black & White. This is an evening of fun with friends and film fans enjoying six great movies on the big screen each Thursday evening through February 16. Thursday Club Cinema opens with a social hour in the lobby at 7 p.m. featuring craft beers, mixed drinks, music, and themed activities, followed by memorable movies at 8 p.m. on the largest movie screen in the state of Alabama.
This week's movie: The Limey, Thursday, February 16.
A rarely seen picture by one of the hottest current directors. In this stylish, at times melancholy, crime thriller, an American icon of 1960's counterculture cinema, Peter Fonda, faces off with England's 1960's underground cinema icon Terence Stamp. The Social Hour will feature rare music from the British Invasion. The first 120 movie fans through the door will receive a Union Jack lapel sticker. One lucky patron will win an English Pub kit, replete with a giant Union Jack flag, among other goodies.
